​Welcome to West Virginia Amateur Radio (WVAR) a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization serving the southwestern region of West Virginia.  WVAR goals are to provide opportunities for fellowship, training, education, operating and contesting in order to maintain a high level of preparedness, teamwork, and technological expertise.

WVAR maintains a team of (VE) accredited volunteer examiners to administer all FCC amateur exams monthly,

West Virginia Amateur Radio maintains two repeaters.   VHF (147.27 tone 123) and UHF (441.825) located in Scott Depot WV.  The repeaters are  analog and C4FM Digital Fusion providing communication locally and linking around the world through Wires –X on the UHF digital repeater.

​Monthly meetings are held to provide fellowship and educational amateur topics.

First year membership is only $12.00 until 6/30/2025. July 01,2025 $25.00.Additional family member $10.00 and may be paid online via Hamclubonline.
